- Download the file: Click the Download button above.
- Unzip: Double-click the .zip file you downloaded to extract AirClipboard.app.
- Move to Applications: Drag AirClipboard.app into your Mac’s Applications folder.
- Open the app: Double-click AirClipboard inside Applications to launch.
- Grant permissions (on first use): macOS may ask for Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions. Follow the prompts in the app or see the help page.
Tip: If you can’t open the app, go to System Settings > Security & Privacy > General and click “Open Anyway”.
Seeing a security warning?
Because AirClipboard is distributed independently, macOS will warn you that the app can't be verified the first time you open it.
- When you see the "App cannot be opened" warning, click Cancel.
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security (or System Preferences > Security & Privacy).
- Scroll down and you’ll see an Open Anyway button for AirClipboard – click it.
- Open AirClipboard again and, when prompted, confirm with Open Anyway.
Why does this happen? Apps not downloaded from the App Store or signed by Apple always show this warning. AirClipboard is 100% safe and privacy-focused.
You only need to do this the first time you install or update AirClipboard.
